How to Disable the Shut Down Tracker in Windows Server 2003



Preface

The Shutdown Tracker is used to maintain computer shutdown/restart reasons history. But this feature is irritating for IT peoples so if you don’t want this future so just disable this from gpedit.

Step by Step

Step 1

Click on Start -> then click on Run

Step 2

In Run input box type gpedit.msc

Step 3

 

In Group Policy consol click on + Computer Configuration and then click on + Administrative Templates and under the System find Display Shutdown Event Tracker in right penal.

Step 4

Double click on Display Shutdown Event Tracker and set it to Disabled, then press OK
