You can enable or disable Turn off Windows Update device driver search prompt from gpedit.This tutorials Specifies whether the administrator will be prompted about going to Windows Update to search for device drivers using the Internet.

Note: This setting only has effect if  ” Turn off Windows Update device driver searching ” in ” Administrative Templates / System / Internet Communication Management / Internet Communication settings” is disabled or not configured.

If this setting is enabled, administrators will not be prompted to search Windows Update.If this setting is disabled or not configured and “Turn off Windows Update device driver searching” is disabled or not configured, the administrator will be prompted for consent before going to Windows Update to search for device drivers.

Step by Step Configuration

Step 1

Click on Start -> then click on Run

Step 2

In Run input box type gpedit.msc

Step 3

In Group Policy consol click on + Computer Configuration and then click on + Administrative Templates and under the System find Turn off Windows Update device driver search prompt in right penal.

Step 4

Double click on Remove Turn off Windows Update device driver search prompt and set it to Enabled, then press OK
