Configure Account Lockout Duration in Windows Server 2003



Preface

Account Lockout Duration option used for security, if you configure this option so system automatically locks if no movement happened, so you can configure this option from gpedit.

Step by Step Configuration

Step 1
Click on Start -> then click on Run

Step 2
In Run input box type gpedit.msc

Step 3
In Group Policy consol click on + Computer Configuration and then click on + Windows Settings and then click on + Security Settings and then click on + Account Policies and then click on + Account Lockout Policy and under the Account Lockout Policy find Account Lockout duration in right penal.

Step 4
Double click on Account Lockout duration and assign time limit, this time limit apply when system is ideal mode.

Then press OK for Finish
