Wikipedia raises 6 million funds

Wikipedia is free encyclopedia manage by non profit organization running without ads, the founder of this site jimmy Wales appealed for the funds from the Wikipedia visitors in the mid of 2008. Jimmy Wales’s announced the total funds of 6.2 million which the Wikipedia user contributed and will be used for further improvement of the online free encyclopedia by providing more contents and bandwidth.
In a thank-you note posted on the site Friday, Wales told donors, ‘you have proven that Wikipedia matters to you, and that you support our mission: to bring free knowledge to the planet, free of charge and free of advertising.
