Many people want to create logos, cards, make textures, portfolios and so many things for their own by own self. Photoshop made it easy for them that whatever they want to make or create. The given tutorial tells you about how to create a logo in Photoshop.
We have selected to make the iTunes logo which is the easy one to make for those who are in basic stage to learn Photoshop.
Step-1
Open a new file with the size of 400×400 (width x breadth) and a resolution of 72pixels/inch.
Step-2
Then Convert the background into a layer, and name it “logo” and then click OK in the pop up window.
Step-3
Fill the logo layer with black color, and then create a new layer. Now set fore ground color to c764f5, and background color to 9c2cb8.
Step-4
Select Gradient tool and adjust the setting as mentioned in the image, and draw fill the layer by clicking and dragging mouse from top to bottom of the image this all will be done in the new layer.
Step-5
Now go to Filter > Distort > Waves and make sure that all the numbers and settings are adjusted as mentioned in the image below

Now go to Filter > Distort > Polar coordinates and adjust the setting “Rectangular to polar” and hit OK
Step-7
Now go to Filter > Sharpen > Unsharp mask and adjust the setting as in the image.
Step-8
Now go to the rectangular tool (shortcut U) and select rounded rectangular tool. Adjust the radius to 40 pixels and by holding shift key, draw a shape make sure the style is set to none.
Step-9
Now come to the layer pallet, and drag the shape layer below the star shade layer. Notice that star shade layer is now in front. Now select the star shade layer and holding down the Ctrl key, click on the shape layer.
Step-10
Now apply the layer mask over the star shade layer, with the option “add layer mask” in the bottom of layer pallet and notice that everything goes black outside the selection.
Step-11
Create add a new layer, again Ctrl+select the shape layer. And now select “elliptical marquee tool” and by holding alt+shift make a circle and select the desired portion, as shown in the image.
Step-12
Set foreground color to white, select gradient tool. In gradient picker set shade white to transparency (as shown in figure) and put the shade upward-down in the selected area.
Step-13
Deselect (ctrl+d), Now make a circle shape by selecting ellipse tool set fill opacity to “0” and go to its layer style, set stroke to 15, position = inside, color to white now select bevel n emboss, and put the settings as in the image.
Step-14
Go to custom shape tool, select the arrow key from the above bar, and set all the settings from the step 14, except setting Fill Opacity to “0″.
Step-15
For the finishing touch, go to star shade layer’s layer style, select gradient overlay and adjust the setting as in the image.
Here is your final logo!
