Remove Recycle Bin from Desktop



Recycle bin is a place where all windows delete files are placed, user can restore the file or can also delete the file permanently from the computer. Let’s go to learn the way to remove recycle bin from desktop in Windows XP.If you don’t use the Recycle Bin to store deleted files , you can get rid of its desktop icon all together.

Step 1

Go to start button and right click on Run, dialog will be appeared as shown below.

Step 2

Type Regedit command in Run textbox as shown in the figure below.

Step 3

Registry Editor window will appear as shown in the figure below.

Step 4

Expand the tree HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/explorer/Desktop/NameSpace

Click on the “Recycle Bin” string in the right hand pane. Hit Del, click OK.
