What is RSS?
To cater this problem and provide ease to readers on internet the format with the name RSS (Rich Site Summary) is introduce. RSS use XML as the programming language, as XML is known for data transport language on networks and support different platforms. RSS is the format use by the webmaster to syndicate their contents, mostly site have the feature of RSS on their site readers can pick the feeds URL and get the contents without browsing.
How to read RSS?
As discussed in the above section about RSS feeds and its URL but now you must have the question about reading the contents. Once source of the feeds is known, there are multiple application known as RSS feeds readers or news aggregators to display the contents of website on readable form. The contents extracted from site contain XML tags and other metadata, it becomes very difficult of normal user who can’t understand XML or unfamiliar to IT to read the contents. The RSS feeds help to retrieve the contents using RSS feeds address and display right on user interface of application.
